Our Nature Centers are excellent for Rainy Days this weekend!

Moms and Dads
This weekend has a forecast of intermittent rain and thunderstorms. Does this mean that your family can't have a fun, FREE experience with nature?

We don't think so!

Your MNCPP  HAS 3 AWESOME Nature Centers that are excellent resources for families. Follow the links provided below to find the center closest to you. And Get To Know your wild neighbors!

Clearwater Nature Center
Clearwater Nature Center offers a variety of interpretive programs hosted by park naturalists. Environmental education is strongly supported at this facility through interesting exhibits, displays, programs, special events, clubs, trips, and volunteer opportunities. The nature center features a small indoor pond, live animal exhibits, a lapidary workshop, and seasonal gardens.

Mt Rainier Nature Center
Prince George's County's only urban nature center, the Mount Rainier Nature and Recreation Center features hands-on exhibits, live animals, educational displays and game room.

Watkins Nature Center
Watkins Nature Center offers close up wildlife investigation with its resident live animals, hands on exhibits, interpretive programs, and special events. Live animal displays include insects, amphibians, reptiles, and birds of prey. The nature center also features indoor and outdoor ponds, a songbird feeding area, a butterfly/hummingbird garden, composting area, an outdoor nest box exhibit, and a squirrel gym that showcases the parks squirrel population.
